Thanks for sharing this — it's amazing to think that this was only 100 years ago. It makes you wonder how far civil rights will come in the 21st century.

We just had a program in our Nodaway County Historical Society museum today about this parade, as 23 young women from our town of Maryville were the only Ladies Band in the 1913 parade. We have a few photos but we would love to see more!

I tried emailing the contact info at your museum's website a few weeks ago but it came back to me. How can we get in touch?
