@Rosie - I completely agree. Historical clothing has a way of adding context like no other artifact can. It is a very intimate part of our lives, and many times a reflection of how we lead them.


As we are in the midst of the race for the White House in 2012, we often forget about the significant role of the first lady. It is an awesome exhibition which captures the rich history of our country. With just a little imagination and some general knowledge of American History, it is quite compelling to think of what historic events may have taken place while in one of this beautiful gowns. Awesome!


Sounds like an exhibit worth seeing. I love viewing all the historic clothes and uniforms. It really makes American history come alive when you can see what they actually wore.
