I wish I could time travel back to those days and get a feel for how they worked in the recording studios then...


Great article. I didn't realize Van Gelder was so instrumental in Miles' sound. I've heard that the U-47 was originally made during WWII as just a cheap radio mic. Amazing. Great picture too.
