We visited the National Mall in August of last year and it's a must see if you are visiting the DC area. What sparked the Mall's transformation from a canal to a national park?

Thanks for sharing.

A great website for then and now...It is still pretty new and still in beta stages, but you can get the idea of the mission

I often go to the national mall, and seeing all the changes that the national mall has gone through the years is incredible! It always nice to be able to look back into the past and see how much better things are now.
