Good question about visual biography! It makes me think of one of my favorite high school homework assignments, to make a collage self-portrait. Since high school, my self-portrait has evolved somewhat.
I would now include:
- more books (especially illustrated childrens books)
- more meaningful representations of my Chinese-American heritage (like my recently-acquired Chinese name)
- about the same amount of school (since I would be a perpetual scholar if possible)
- more Washington, DC!

I love the idea of a visual biography. What I found fascinating about this image was just how much was unable to connect with it. That suggested to me just how different I am from this rendering. I would imagine my own to be a far simpler image. Fascinating and fun to imagine distilling your life down to a 4x6 glossy!
