It shouldn’t surprise anyone that I’m really excited to see the new movie Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian. I love my job (at the Smithsonian), I love history (which comes to life in the movie), and I love a good comedy.
When I shared my excitement with one of my fellow Smithsonian staff members, John Brown, it turned out that he has a few exciting connections to the movie. Here’s my interview with John:
In case you can’t tell, John and I had a blast filming this. And I was thrilled to have Oscar the Grouch as a co-star. Keep an eye out for Oscar in Night at the Museum 2, opening today! (Find out how to visit objects portrayed in the film.)

As a security guard of some years I have provided security to a number of locations, but none as exciting as Museum of Natural History - and while I have had my share of interesting experiences, I can't say I have seen anything happen like in the movie.
