I hope the Smithsonian acquires Aretha Franklin's "big bow" hat. Given her breath-taking performance at that historic moment . . . that hat is a national relic like Lincoln's stove pipe hat or Louie Armstrong's trumpet. Get it. Display it to future generations.

What an historic event it was on Inaugural Day when Aretha Franklin sang. The Smithsonian absolutely MUST acquire the unique hat she wore so that it will be shared for centuries to come.
